Kobe's 61 or Lebron's Triple Double?

Monday night at Madison Square Garden the Lakers paid a visit to the Knicks. What happened that night was another one of those "Did you see that game" games. Kobe Bryant went off for 61 points 3 assists and wowed everyone in the Garden.

Wednesday night Cleveland went to MSG to play the Knicks. Lebron put up 52 points 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

So now the debating has started, Tuesday it was all about comparing Kobe and his 61 points to Michael Jordan and his 55 points back in the 90's. Just to quickly put an end to it, the current Knicks are not even near the team 90's Knick teams, the current coach is offensive minded could care less about playing defense, and the current roster would get torched by the 95 Knicks. What Jordan did was outstanding and against a great Knicks team so that's that.

Fast forward to Thursday morning, now the talk is all about who was better Kobe or Lebron. In a word Lebron. I'm sorry but posting a triple double while dropping 52 is pretty freaking awesome. He not only got his game off the ground and running he grabbed 10 boards and yes I know 1 of them was a little late and pretty much a gimme but that's 10 more boards than Kobe grabbed... yes that is correct Kobe had 0 rebounds. Lebron tossed in 11 assists, I mean the guy was still working with his team and making sure other guys got shots as well.

So to wrap this up both performances were awesome, but you have to take a triple double over just points especially when both teams won.

On a side note how silly does Mike D'Antoni look on television smiling about his team being torched twice in the same week. I mean he was prepared for Lebron to come in after Kobe and put up monster numbers. That is just crazy to me to think he knew what was coming and did nothing to prevent it. Seems like he has no shame in losing and having his team embarrassed.
